| We work with customers to seek out the best method possible for the project. It
is BURT crane & rigging's philosophy to incorporate all the factors into the job --
not just those pertaining to us -- to deliver the total project. |
In Suspension - Replacing 150 foot railroad
bridge over the Missisquoi River Gorge. We brought in the new span on a train and
raised it with strand jacks off the cars. We then connected the new span to the
existing and raised both spans together, weighing 320 tons, and rolled the old span out
from under the new. The new span was lowered 30 feet to the bearings. |
Floating on Air - Moving a computer controlled boring mill
with power pack across a newly titled floor with our air caster system. |

Huge move, Tight Schedule, Horrible Winter Conditions - Aggregate
processing and drum mix asphalt plants relocated in the severe winter of 1995-96 on time.
Job involved over 170 oversize loads moving 40 conveyors, one primary screening tower,
three secondary towers and a crusher station. Numerous revisions and additions were
performed during the move to make the plant virtually 100% automatic from primary to
loadout.
